The open core stays open. Odoo MCP Cloud is a hosted control plane around the same MIT-licensed server everyone can run for free — nothing moves behind the paywall, ever. You pay for operations: encrypted credential storage, isolated per-client runtimes, OAuth, the audit dashboard, and the fleet reports. If you outgrow us — or never trusted anyone else with client credentials in the first place — self-host the exact same tools.

Questions agencies actually ask.

Where do my client credentials live?
Envelope-encrypted at rest. They are only decrypted inside your client’s isolated runtime container at start-up, never written to disk in plaintext, and never appear in logs. We recommend read-only API keys per client — the write gate stays off unless you turn it on.
Does my clients’ data train any model?
No. Odoo MCP Cloud doesn’t bundle an LLM — you bring the model you already use (Claude, GPT, Gemini, a local Ollama). We host the tool layer between your agent and Odoo. Data flows to whichever LLM provider you configured, under your existing agreement with them.
What if the AI tries to change something?
Same behaviour as the open-source server: direct create/write/unlink are blocked. Writes require a preview, live validation, a session-bound approval token, and explicit confirmation — and every step lands in the audit log you can show your client.
Which Odoo versions and editions?
Odoo 16 → 19+, Community and Enterprise, on-prem or Odoo.sh — XML-RPC today, External JSON-2 for 19+, ready years before Odoo 22 removes XML-RPC.
When does the beta start?
Private beta Q3 2026 with five agencies, public launch planned around Odoo Experience (Sept 24–26). Waitlist members get first pick, first month free, and founding pricing locked for 12 months.
Can I resell this to my clients?
That’s the point of the Agency plan — white-label reports and per-client isolation are built for it. A formal partner/reseller margin is planned; tell us on the waitlist form that you want it and you’ll be first in line.
